In The Walking Dead, there is a first time again
At the end of Season 5 of The Walking Dead, we see Rick taking control of Alexandria. He knows how to survive and his group knows how to fight. It is up to them to protect and keep Alexandria safe.
As far as the visuals are concerned, they are a delight to watch. The black and white sequences also help add a different level of intrigue and mystery to the season six opener.
Rick’s group has been recruited by the folks of Alexandria. They are a pretty weak lot, considering the fact that they did not have any significant experience with killing Zombies earlier. But when Deanna, leader of Alexandria came to know that Rick’s solution to most of the problem is “murder everyone before they can murder you”, there is a slight conflict. It is only when Deanna’s husband is killed by an abusive drunk, does Deanna agrees with the methods of Rick.
Less walker activity in Alexandria
Alexandria has seen less walker activity because of a nearby quarry. Most of the walkers have been falling into this quarry, whose exits are blocked by semi-trucks. Things become interesting when it is discovered that one of the trucks is in a precarious position and could fall any day; this might lead to walkers into the town. Rick comes up with a plan where his group will try to draw the walkers away from the town. Things go bad when the truck goes south sooner than expected. It is up to Rick and his group that to fix the problem.
The episode is not entirely all about Alexandria. There are a number of sequences that are flashbacks. These flashbacks show the immediate events that happened after the last season’s finale. Morgan has also showed up and has obviously changed since we last saw him. He is more humane than Rick and tries to counter Rick’s points and strategies that seem to be too harsh.
In a nutshell, Watch Amc the Walking Dead’s Season 6 Episode 1 has a lot to offer, both in terms of plot development and the gore.
