With the release date of Star Wars: The Force Awakens coming closer each day, the fans of the series are quite excited to see the old characters, such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Leia and Chewbacca on the silver screen. They are also equally excited to see the new characters of in the series. Here we will talk about the characters that are being awaited.
Luke Skywalker: He is one of the main heroes in the first three movies of the series. It is his journey from being nothing to the person who brings balance to the force in the universe that was shown in the first three movies. In Star Wars: Force Awakens, his role is still not clear, many suspect that he is Kylo Ren. We will have to wait to see what his actual role is in the movie, as it is still very obscure. In a recent interview, Mark Hamill said that Luke won’t return as the innocent farm boy.
Han Solo: Harrison Ford will reprise his role as the swashbuckling, gun trotting bounty smuggler. He will again battle the forces of evil to save the universe. Is the aged Solo as good as when he was young? Only time will tell if he still possess the suave he had when he was a young smuggler.

Leia: We are not sure as to how will the makers fit in Leia in the story, but we are guessing that we might not see her in action sequences. There is a high possibility that we might see her in an administrative post.
Chewbacca: Everyone’s favourite Wookie is also back. We are hoping to see more bad guys being knocked out cold in the movie. It will be nice to watch the brown furry thing to toss around a few clankers.

Kylo Ren: Kylo Ren is the main villain of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He is a lightsabre yielding person. He dresses in black and surely knows the ways of the force. Not much is known about him except the fact that he belongs to a mysterious group called Knights of the Ren, who use the dark side of the force. There is a theory which states that Kylo Ren is the alter-ego of Luke Skywalker. If this is true then it will surely make things interesting.
Rey: Rey is a human scavenger in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Not much is known about her except that she was left as a 5-year-old kid on the desert planet of Jakku. Will she be instrumental in ushering the downfall of The First Order?
Finn: Finn is the first character which we are introduced in the teaser trailer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He is a human male who served as a storm trooper in the first order. He is stranded on the desert planet of Jakku, where he changes his allegiance. He eventually faces Kylo Ren in a snowy forest.
