These days our lives have become really hectic. Balancing between work and personal life is also becoming increasingly difficult for a lot of people. We tend to skip our meals; sleeping less and sleeping late at night, are just some of the unhealthy habits which have plagued the world today. We might not realise this, but these habits will cost us dearly over a period of time. As the time passes by, these habits will affect our health also.

Here we tell you a few healthy habits which might help you get your health back on track

Enough sleep: It is a well-known fact that lack of sleep leads to various health problems. Be it dizziness or obesity or other such problems, lack of sleep will affect your health in a lot of ways, which you cannot even imagine. One should at least get 7 hours of sleep each day.

Drink lots of water: Another thing which many people avoid is that they fail to consume adequate amount of water. The body needs a certain amount of water in order to function at an optimum level. If proper amount of water is not consumed by the body, it can then lead to some trouble.

Breathing in a correct way: One the most underrated activity that we do daily throughout our lives is breathing.  These days there is a lot of pollution and garbage, because of which the quality of the air has gone down drastically. Breathe correctly if you want a healthy heart and a healthy body. Try and draw full breaths if you are breathing from your stomach.

Eating habits: Eating too much or too little can do a great deal of harm to your body if not done correctly. One of the biggest mistakes people do these days is eat their meals in front of a television or computer/laptops. Eating in front of television and laptops, tend to disorient our minds, we think that we have not eaten, although the stomach is full. Because of this we tend to eat more.

Healthy habits

Wearing headphones:  These days wherever we go, we can see people listening to music almost all the time. While crossing the road, or while commuting, people are listening to music almost all the time. This is an extremely bad habit, as it can lead to permanent damage to your hearing. The worst thing that one can do is listening to music at a high volume. Try and limit the use of headphones.

Don’t be a perfectionist: Many people might think that they are perfectionists and that they are the only ones who know how to do things; the fact is that there will always be someone to criticize it.  Try not to push yourself to do something perfectly, you will end up spoiling your mood for no reason, and also chances are there that your methods might not just be liked by people. A peaceful mind and life are any day better than a worried mind.

Pursue your hobbies: One of the worst things you can do to yourself is not taking out time for your hobbies. People these days; tend to just laze around when they have time to themselves, which results in mental fatigue. Your hobby can be anything constructive; be it painting or photography or learning something new, you can do anything which you like and is constructive. Be an inspiration to yourself.

P.S -Watching Game of Thrones and House of Cards or Breaking bad is not a hobby.
