Christmas movies you have to watch this year

Winter is almost upon us, so is the festival of Christmas. There is certain warmth, which the festival evokes. The first image which comes in the minds of people when they first hear the word Christmas is warmth and getting cosy. It is a time to spend with your family, it is a time to have a family get together and soak in the joy.

One of the best ways to enjoy the spirit of Christmas is watching a movie together.

A Christmas Story (1983) – It is an offbeat tale and it is funny. Darren Mc Gavin is a father who ogles a weird lamp shaped women’s leg, which is covered with black stockings and a kid whose great wish is to have a BB gun. It is a quirky film with a loony father in the lead.

Bad Santa (2003) – Billy Bob Thornton stars as a drunken, reprehensible Santa Claus. It is a movie which is not meant to be seen in front of the kids.

Home Alone (1990) – Although it might be sadistic in nature towards criminals, the gags and the traps in the movie are pretty hilarious. Kidding standing up to the might of two hardened criminals is surely a treat to watch.

Miracle on 34th Street (1947) – It is one the most heart-warming film based on Christmas. The scene where a Dutch girl who does not know English, is spoken to in her native tongue, is the most heart moving moment in the film.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966) – Dr. Seuss classic TV program made into a film, is a classic. The green quite mean villain has become a huge name over the years.
