Burj Khalifa will soon not be the world’s tallest building

Kingdom Tower to be 564 feet longer than the Burj Khalifa.

A 8.4 billion dollars deal has been signed with Jeddah investment and Alinma investment, In Saudi Arabia’s latest venture to outgrow the Burj Khalifa. Kingdom Tower will stand at a staggering 3,280 feet. This tower that will be standing by 2020 in Jeddah will house 200 floors. It’s construction will require 80,000 tonnes of steel and 5.7 million square feet of concrete.

“With this deal, we will reach new, as yet unheard-of highs in real estate development, and will fulfill the company’s objective of creating a world-class urban center that offers an advanced lifestyle, so that Jeddah may have a new iconic landmark that attracts people from all walks of society with comprehensive services and a multitude of uses,” Remarked Mounib Hammoud, C.E.O of Jeddah Economic Company.

Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill are faced with the magnanimous task of constructing this skyscraper. The first 26 floors have already been constructed. This tower housing apartments, offices and hotels will have 59 elevators for commuting swiftly.
