Chappers began with the vision of bringing the classic Kolhapuri chappals to the world of men. The founder of the brand, Harshwardhan Patwardhan felt that men’s footwear offered minimal colors, with only brown, black, and grey dominating the offerings. He addressed this concern first and started by introducing Kolhapuris in exciting and vibrant colors. Once the initial pilot project received a fantastic response, Chappers didn’t look back.They are also providing a selected range for women though their primary love for men will always continue. Now they have four stores in Pune and using their AR technology; they plan to set up kiosks across malls all over India.

Highlights of the brand –

They are the first Indian brand to focus on the Kolhapuri chappal and to take it global, making Kolhapuris fashionable, comfortable, and customizable on a large scale.

They introduced India’s first virtual footwear customizer, allowing users to personalize footwear to the individual liking of color, accessories, and material.

They sell some of the market’s most expensive Kolhapuris. They also sold a client a pair of custom shoes worth Rs.50,000.

This year, they attracted 25,000 new customers from India and abroad.

The brand was named one of “India’s top 100 D2C brands” by Indian Retailer. They were recognised by YourStory as one of the “500 Top Challenger D2C brands,” and the brand received the “Most Admired D2C Brand in Footwear” award at the D2C Leadership Conclave Awards.
