Kamla Nehru College bagged the second position, giving a very tough competition to the winners. The event ended with a performance by Maitreyi’s team Zeal, which received the loudest cheers from the crowd.

After a very close competition between the participating colleges, Shivaji College stood first while the College of Vocational Studies stood second. Gargi College received a special mention by the judges for their outstanding performance.

The music events, which took place in the amphitheatre, saw a large crowd swaying to the rhythms of some very talented vocalists and instrumentalists. Panache- the fashion show of Maitrey’s annual college fest had everyone rendered speechless. The quality and the design of the dresses were just out of the world. With themes such as vintage wear and the seven sins of men, the fashion show was surely to be a huge success. All the colleges came up with quite a number of creative costumes.  The judges also like the costumes a lot, and showered praises on the designers. The costumes not only were pleasing to the eye, but they also had some or the other social issue which was highlighted by costumes.

Galore- the fashion society of Maitrey College had put up a wonderful show. Although they were not the participants in the event, they still showcased their work, which was basically built around the conservation of India’s national animal, the Tiger. The costumes were basically tried to raise the awareness about the conservation of the big cat. The costumes were impressive and got the loudest applause from the audience.
Another magnificent theme was by Amity College, which was Paradise Lost. This particular college showcased the story of Adam and Eve, and how the snake tricked Eve into eating the forbidden fruit. The costumes were colourful and there was a lot of innovation seen as far as the designing of the costumes was concerned. Amity bagged the second prize on the fashion show competition.

Shivaji College also did well in the competition. The theme for their costumes designs was the 7 sins of men. Each and every costume represented each of the different sins, which are: Wrath, Greed, Sloth, pride, lust, envy and gluttony.
Post the fashion show event the audience was entertained by the fun loving and naughty RJ Yuvi of 91.1 FM Delhi. RJ Yuvi was quite popular among the girls and even clicked a few selfies with the audience. He also handed out gift coupons to the audience. RJ Yuvi had set the tempo for the event which was followed by performance by DJ Nucleya. Everyone grooved to the tunes of DJ Nucleya and thoroughly enjoyed themselves before the event was officially closed.

All in all Rhapsody 2015 was quite a hit among the students. Each and every student had worked hard to make the event successful.
